EM epoxy/polyester thermosetting powder coatings consist of a series of epoxy/polyester blended powder coating products for indoor use. EM epoxy/polyester thermosetting powder coatings can be supplied in a wide range of colors, different surface gloss levels, and various surface texture effects to meet customer needs.

Product Description EM epoxy/polyester thermosetting powder coatings consist of a series of epoxy/polyester blended powder coating products, designed for indoor use. EM epoxy/polyester thermosetting powder coatings can be supplied in a wide range of colors, different surface gloss levels, and various surface texture effects to meet customer needs.
Powder properties Specific gravity: 1.2-1.8 (varies depending on color)
Powder particle size: Suitable for electrostatic powder coating.
Storage conditions: Store in a cool, dry environment below 30°C.
Storage period: 12 months
Curing conditions: 180°C/10 minutes or 180°C/15 minutes (workpiece temperature), according to customer requirements.
Coating performance Mechanical properties were tested using samples that had undergone degreasing and zinc phosphating treatment, with a film thickness controlled at 60-80 micrometers, and cured by baking at 180°C for 10-15 minutes (sample temperature). Chemical properties were tested using samples that had undergone degreasing and zinc phosphating treatment, with a film thickness controlled at 100-120 micrometers, and cured by baking at 180°C for 10-15 minutes (sample temperature). A decrease in product gloss may lead to a decrease in mechanical properties.
Mechanical performance testing Bending performance:
Product gloss: ≤60°, ≤4mm
Product gloss>60° 2mm
Adhesion: GB9286 Level 1
Cup test: Product gloss ≤60° ≥4mm
Pencil hardness: GB/T6739 ≥1H
Impact (positive/negative): Positive impact
Chemical performance testing Neutral salt spray resistance test (500 hours): GB/T1771, not exceeding Grade 1 Humidity and heat resistance test (500 hours): GB1740, not exceeding Grade 1 Solvent/Chemical resistance: Under normal temperature conditions, it has a certain resistance to acids, alkalis, and oils.
Preprocessing Before using EM epoxy/polyester thermosetting powder coatings, the substrate requires pre-treatment. To achieve optimal film performance, the following pre-treatment methods are recommended. The pre-treatment should be carried out according to the instructions provided by the pre-treatment solution supplier.
Galvanized steel sheet: Zinc phosphating
Standard steel plate: zinc phosphating or hot phosphating
Application EM epoxy/polyester thermosetting powder coatings are suitable for application with electrostatic spray guns, and oversprayed powder can be recycled.
